Over President's Day weekend we took a trip to Phoenix and Sedona to see what warm AZ weather is like. Well - it only snowed on one day (leaving NM). We went by the very large array (VLA), had a perfect lunch in PieTown - saw what mining can do to US towns (wow - looks like the third world) and landed in Phoenix. We bought out new kitchen at Ikea (wow consumer overload) and headed for Sedona. Warm sunny weather and beautiful red rocks. Last night in Flagstaff before heading home via one of the largest meteor craters in the world (the power was out - it felt just like the third world). Good thing the sun was out.

January and February have been the beginning of home improvement in a serious way. We renovated the room where Kerry's office is now it looks great (not to mention being a better working environment than the kitchen). We replaced all of the aged sliding glass doors and got our architect's plans for the overhaul of the kitchen, office nook and master bath.
